I think I’m gonna “steal” Office 2007
Gasp! How can a software engineer promote stealing software!?! Relax, it’s just a clever marketing effort from Microsoft. Random browsing brought me to the Ultimate Steal site which is an official Microsoft sight offering Office 2007 Ultimate (yes Ultimate) to current students for $60. A quick google shows this normally goes for $679.99? Apparently Microsoft figured out that most normal students are way too poor to afford their products, so in the interest of establishing preference (and staving off open source alternatives) they’ll give it to us for only sixty bucks. Works for me!
