Drew’s Tweets for 2008-06-17

  • Funny thing I learned today, vintage kimonos are sized for vintage Japanese, not many of whom were six feet tall. #
  • Another funny thing I learned today, most decent quality costumes (especially cosplay) are all made in China and have a 2 week lead time. #
  • The Internet has royally FAILED ME at providing a decent costume. (At any price) #
  • Jesus, I am SO not worthy. This is what a real photographer can do… http://tinyurl.com/2l2h32 Make sure to watch the video!!!!!!!!!! #

The wife and I just went to a costume party this weekend. We didn’t want to spend a whole lot, but didn’t want to look too cheap, either. We eventually got ours from buycostumes.com. We went as the king and queen of playing cards (http://www.buycostumes.com/Search_All_king/Category/0/Product/32082/ProductDetail.aspx)

Cool, thanks for the tip. I’ve bought stuff from buycostumes.com before but this time around I was looking for something a little more upscale and I don’t have much time left. Fortunately, the internet ultimately provided, and I ended up with a Kendo “costume” (actually, the real deal) from e-bogu.com.
