Until Winer can get out of the way of the RSS Advisory Board and allow them to fix the currently broken RSS2 standard I won’t be using nor supporting it when possible. While I may have to create six variations of the same CSS at work because of broken browsers, I don’t have to support the same behavior with my personal blog. THUS, the only syndication format currently being offered is Atom, but I will continue to track the progress of the RSS Advisory Board and hope to add RSS2 back to the site at some point in the future. After exploring wordpress plugin and theme options for the last few months, it would seem I’m finally ready to launch my “blog”. While the term is used quite freely these days, I have some specific goals for this website whether you call it a blog or not. Primarily I would like a means to share my discoveries with the world in the hopes that someone, somewhere, will find them useful. It is for this reason that I created a “Public” category which will grow to hold information relating to my various projects. The “Personal” category will pertain to the second goal of this website, which is to serve as an outlet for my opinions and observations. People who don’t know me personally but are interested in a variety of as-yet-undetermined topics pay attention to the Public content which they should find interesting and useful, while my friends and family may wish to keep an eye on the Personal content as a means of keeping track of me. And thus begins the journey…
